Let's do this to get rid of the 018 line and clear up the Java error messages. Thanks to silver, ndmmxiaomayi and chryssi2001 for their help/suggestions.
Step # 1: Download and run ERUNT
Click Erunt.exe to backup your registry to the folder of your choice.
Note:to restore your registry, go to the folder and start ERDNT.exe
Open Notepad!
Copy and Paste everything from the Quote box into Notepad:
Make sure there are NO blank lines before REGEDIT4
Make sure there IS one blank line at the end of the file.
Go to File > Save As
Save File name as Fix.reg
Change Save as Type to All Files and save the file to your desktop.
Close Notepad, and double-click Fix.reg on your Desktop. When it asks if you want to merge the info to the registry, hit YES/OK. Reboot the computer.
Step # 2 Download and run the Windows Installer Cleanup utility
Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and save it to your Desktop
Double-click msicuu2.exe to install the utility.
Next, Click 'Start', click 'All Programs' (or 'Programs' on some operating systems), and then click the shortcut for the
Windows Installer Clean Up Utility to open the utility
Once the program is open select Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2 and Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1 (if found )from the list. Once you have those selected, click Remove, then click OK
Reboot your computer.

2. Are the two old Java entries still in Add/Remove Programs?

- For version with the Installer:
Use the setup program to install ERUNT on your computer - For the zipped version:
Unzip all the files into a folder of your choice.
Click Erunt.exe to backup your registry to the folder of your choice.
