Thank you so much for helping me clear this mess up. I believe my laptop is back to normal. I have one question.
I am using Trend Micro and I just got it loaded for this particular problem. My question is, doe Trend Micro handle
all types of malware and vieuses and so on.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any one 'package' that can cover all viruses. In my experience, two of the best security all-in-one packages at the moment are ESET/NOD32 and F-Secure. However, you pay your money and take your choice. Some people who are perhaps a little more 'computer aware' can get by with free for personal use antivirus and firewall programs such as Avast's antivirus and Comodo's firewall.
