computer not well

just doing the kaspersky scan again, i realised i didn't install active x, theres not long left.

i realised i didn't install active X so repeating the scan, got 10mins left on the scan, then hopefully i can do it right this time

thats what i have been doing, before it comes up with a message saying:

for some reason your system denied write access to the hosts file. if any hijacked domains are in this file, HijackThis will NOT be able to fix this.

if this happens, you need to edit the file yourself. To do this, click start, run and type:

notepad C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.

and press enter, and find the line(s) HijackThis reports and delete them.
Save the files as hosts, (with quotes), and reboot.

For vista; simply, exit hijackthis, right click on the hijack this icon,

choose 'run as administrator',

Kaspersky was only flaging the tools I'm using, in the wrong hands they can be used for malicious intent, not so in this case.

Run HijackThis, select Do a system scan only and place checks against the following entries (if they are still present)
