Hi there,I know this seems to be going on and on but I'd just like to get my computer back to the way it was before we installed the windows installer tool.As well as not being able to remove the files from my recycle bin my computer is slowing down and freezing up quite a bit.I'm getting a message saying windows installer could not be accessed or something.Is it possible to sort this out then we can leave this well alone.Thankyou.

Leave this alone? Probably not. The system is already pretty messed up in some ways. It's all right to leave them alone if they don't post great problems.

Otherwise, you could really take a look at the format route. Backup all your files first before formatting.

You can't uninstall Windows Installer because it's used by other programs to install programs.
