"Ads by..." infection

Unread postby Intress » July 31st, 2015, 11:25 pm

Good evening.

For a awhile now, about a week or so, I've been having issues with something hijacking my browser. I've run Malwarebytes and Adwcleaner in an attempt to get rid of it, but I've had no such luck. I was having a similar issue not that long ago, about two weeks or so, but those seemed to have been removed and this one is proving to be really troublesome.

Whenever I open a new tab I get a large pop up in the middle of my screen that says "Ads by AntiAdBlocker". Whenever I search anything on Google I get ads at the top and bottom of my page with "Ads by AntiAdBlocker" on it. I get popups when I mouse over pictures. Every time I've had this issue the name of the "Ads by..." indicator was different, and there was an extension in Chrome that I was able to delete to remove the issue entirely. Now, there's no extension in Chrome, no program in my program list, and I haven't been able to successfully remove it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thank you!
