hope someone can help. A couple of weeks ago a pop up appeared which claimed to be from 'against cybercrime association' telling me I was infected and needed to buy thier product ( or something along those lines) I thought it was fishy but it proved tricky to get rid of. A scan with Spybot turned up a trojan called win32.palevo which Spybot fixed ( I think). Malwarebyte scans turned up Rogue.winantivirus and spyware.online games-lame_enc.dll which I think is something to do with audacity? Subsequent scans with Spybot and Malwarebytes have been clean. Computer still behaving oddly though and something is not right, e.g. takes forever to close down and sometimes can't.
Have tried to downlaod DDS and first time I got an error message saying I couldn't save it in a particular location so tried again and then couldn't access the the site to download it. At the same time I got an alert from macafee that it found a trojan - Artemis! eia598863cas. I can't get to DDS.
Have tried saving DDS to Desktop again but get a error message saying cant save to that location due to an unknown error, also as mentioned before each time I attempt to download DDS I get two alerts from macafee saying it has found above Trojan. I have just completed an online Panda scan which tells me I have a trojan - c:\windows\system32\check.exe
Cheers
