syssetup.dll is legit.

Let's get AVG up and running, and do the full scan, then come back to this with a new log.
It appears we took care of the smitfraud infection though.

I think it will take slightly longer than a second to run a full scan.
Either way, I'm still working on other logs so I will get back to you as soon as possible

AVG should have taken out more than that, but some items were still running. Run another full scan while you are in safe mode during this next fix.

OK, copy contents of code box below to notepad, save it as FixReg3.reg filetype .*.allfiles
Code: Select all
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"Universal USB Service"=-

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices]
"Universal USB Service"=-

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OLE]
"Universal USB Service"=-

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
"load"=-

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WinRAR SFX]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
"Name"=load
"Type"=REG_SZ

DoubleClick FixReg3.reg and allow it to add/merge with registry.

Reboot to safe mode.

Run hijackthis again, checkmark and fix, if found:
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.hotoffers.info/ad0179/
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
F3 - REG:win.ini: load=C:\Program Files\KEVIN\kevin.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Universal USB Service] svchost32.exe

Now manually delete this folder:
C:\Program Files\KEVIN

Reboot back to normal and post another log please.
Looks like we have to do this one step at a time, for each different infection you picked up.

Getting there, another one bites the dust ;)

I'm almost 100% sure this file is on the machine so let's try killing it with dos.

Start >> Run
type in cmd
Enter

In new window type del C:\windows\system32\systr.dll
Note the space after del
Click Enter.

If file not found message, type Exit >>Enter

[1] Download the Pocket Killbox.
[2] Unzip the contents of KillBox.zip to a convenient location.
[3] Disconnect from internet and shut down all running programs
[4] Double-click on KillBox.exe.
[5] Click "Delete on Reboot" (left side of killbox)
[6] Paste this file into the top "Full Path of File to Delete" box.
[list]
[7] C:\WINDOWS\System32\systr.dll
[8] Click the "Delete File" button which looks like a stop sign.
[9] Click "Yes" at the Pending Operations prompt to restart your computer. Allow machine to reboot.

Checkmark and fix if still there:
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.hotoffers.info/ad0179/

reboot again, and new log please.

We can fix that snmpapi.dll error if needed. Chances are it will repair on next boot.
