Hi Fishstyx and welcome to Malware Removal.

Lets get started!

Print this out for reference during the fix as you will need to be offline for part of the fix.

Download Ewido Security Suite. Install the program and update it. Don't run it yet.

Download CCleaner. Install the program but don't run it yet.

Do not run HijackThis from a zipfile. Please move it to its own folder(eg: C:\Program Files\HJT)

Please make sure no files are hidden. To do this:

1. Click Start.
2. Open My Computer.
3. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
4. Select the View Tab.
5. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
6. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
7. Click Yes to confirm.
8. Click OK.

Hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring up the Task Manager. End Task the following:

vypiqvsr.exe
KVG.exe

Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall UnSpyPC if there.

Run and scan with HijackThis. With all browsers and windows closed, place checks beside the following and fix:

O1 - Hosts: localhost 127.0.0.1
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [xp_system] C:\WINDOWS\inet20002\services.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [vypiqvsr] C:\WINDOWS\system32\vypiqvsr.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [yaemu.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\yaemu.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [vypiqvsr] C:\WINDOWS\system32\vypiqvsr.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [UnSpyPC] "C:\Program Files\UnSpyPC\UnSpyPC.exe"
O4 - Global Startup: KVG.exe
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{A4A934B9-59EB-497C-9D36-CFB1D96309D1}: NameServer = 85.255.116.133,85.255.112.236
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{B976CDFE-72AE-4729-A72B-5F553B48B6D9}: NameServer = 85.255.116.133,85.255.112.236
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{D27A3483-C2B6-4969-8624-E75199303F5C}: NameServer = 85.255.116.133,85.255.112.236
O21 - SSODL: IEFilter - {7010AB42-1660-4E53-9F0A-BC9900C60DB0} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\IEFilter.dll

Boot into Safe Mode. To do this:

1. Reboot your computer.
2. Tap the F8 button as your computer is booting to bring you to the Advanced Options Menu.
3. Select Safe Mode and press Enter.

Search for and delete the folders:

C:\WINDOWS\inet20002
C:\Program Files\UnSpyPC

Search for and delete the following files:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\vypiqvsr.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\yaemu.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\KVG.exe

Run Ewido through a full scan and save the log file. Browse to your C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch folder. Delete all files in the folder, do not delete the folder itself. Empty your Recycle Bin. Run CCleaner.

Reboot Windows normally and post a new HJT log along with the Ewido log please.

Thanks for posting the new logs.

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Click Start>Run, type in services.msc and hit Enter. When the services console opens up look for an entry named Service in the list. Right click on it and choose Properties. Stop the service and change the Startup Type to Disabled. Close the services console.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?ac ... t&id=43811
http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, then make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish. The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

When your system reboots, follow the prompts. Afterwards, HijackThis will launch. Click the Misc Tools button then the Delete a file on reboot button. Search for C:\WINDOWS\system32\IEFilter.dll, click Open, click No when asked if you want to reboot. Do the same thing you just did with the last file for C:\WINDOWS\system32\Service.exe.

NOTE!!! DO NOT delete C:\WINDOWS\system32\Services.exe(note the "s").... this is a valid Windows file and should not be deleted. Delete only C:\WINDOWS\system32\Service.exe.

Once done click the Back button.

Please click Scan, and check the following items:

Thanks for posting the new logs.

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Download KillBox. Extract it to its own folder. Close all open windows and programs, then start KillBox. Put a check next to "Delete on Reboot", then copy this line in "Full Path of File to Delete" box:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [jbmvq.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\jbmvq.exe

Click Start>Run... type in sc delete Service and hit Enter.

Run HJT. With all other browsers and windows closed, place checks beside the following(if there):

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [jbmvq.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\jbmvq.exe
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{3FA7EF94-69C2-4800-8904-E7475EE02DC0}: NameServer = 85.255.116.133 85.255.112.236
O21 - SSODL: IEFilter - {9564262E-7820-4849-AD2A-00B67D7C6573} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\IEFilter.dll (file missing)
O23 - Service: Service - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\Service.exe (file missing)

Reboot Windows normally and post a new HJT log please.

Sorry for the late reply... email notification never showed up :(

But... your log is clean! How is the computer behaving? Any of the previous symptoms?

Good to hear!

You get my All Clean Speech! :D

To clean up anything that may have been left behind, I suggest doing a couple online virus scans. A couple good ones are Panda ActiveScan and TrendMicro HouseCall. Let them fix anything they find. Reboot between each scan.

If you don't have them, download Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D. Visit this page for proper configuration of Spybot and Ad-Aware. Run and scan with both, letting them fix whatever they find. Remember to reboot between each scan.

Now that your computer is clean, its a good time to reset your System Restore point. This will ensure a clean backup to fall upon if you ever need it. To do this:
  • Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
  • Click the System Restore tab.
  • Check the "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives"

Reboot your computer, follow the steps above, this time unchecking the "Turn off System Restore" and reboot.

I recommend downloading and installing SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard, and IE-SPYAD as well. The programs are free and can be updated... so please do so. Installing these will go a long way in preventing reinfection.

If you don't have one, I recommend installing a Firewall. I'm sure you've heard of ZoneAlarm.

Keep Windows and your protection programs updated, scan often and...

Surf Safe!
