I've searched the web and found descriptions of similar things, but no solution. CiD trojan or virus? Terminal Services trojan or virus? Don't know.
Things I've tried:
killing iexporer.exe system tasks-- they come right back.
removing any iexplorer.exe files found in odd places.
renaming iexplorer.exe and iexplorer.exe.mui files in Program Files/Internet Explorer.
System restore from a restore point
Removing older/unused programs using Add/Remove software.
Running the following:
Malwarebytes
SDFix
TrendMicro Housecall
TrendMicro cwschredder
TrendMicro Antivirus 30-day tria
SUPERAntiSpyware
Microsoft Malicious Software Tool
None of them can even detect what is wrong.
