Please do the following then let me know if the redirecting still happens.

Avenger2

Download Avenger by Swandog and unzip it to your Desktop.

Note: This programme must be run from an account with Administrator priviledges.

  • Open the Avenger folder and Right click Avenger.exe And select " Run as administrator " to run it..
  • Copy the text in the code box below and Paste it into the Input script here: box.
Code: Select all
Files to move:
C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nvstor32.inf_6b03e392\nvstor32.sys | C:\Windows\System32\drivers\nvstor32.sys
C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\crcdisk.inf_399dba89\crcdisk.sys | C:\Windows\System32\drivers\crcdisk.sys

Note: the above code was created specifically for this user. If you are not this user, do NOT follow these directions as they could damage the workings of your system.

  • Ensure the following:
    • Scan for Rootkits is checked.
    • Automatically disable any rootkits found is Unchecked.
  • Press the Execute key.
  • Avenger will now process the script you've pasted (this may involve more than one re-boot), when finished it will produce a log file.
  • Post the log back here please. (it can also be found at C:\avenger.txt)

FINALLY FIXED!!! It actually wasnt associated with any malware but here is how I fixed it. I finally was able to login to my router by typing 192.168.0.1 into my URL address bar. I was then prompted with the username and password, after entering that I proceeded on to look for anything that might have been changed. I stumbled upon my DNS settings and they were changed from "obtain automatically" to two set DNS addresses. I changed it back to obtain automatically. No fix at this point, i then cleared my DNS cache by going to command prompt and typing "ipconfig/flushdns". I then realize that there is still no fix and am about to give up, so i give the ole router a little restart and type in a random search in google... none of the search links would come up with results5. and not one of the links redirected me. I also confirmed that my google chrome is up and running again. Thank you so much for all your help and support over these last few troublesome days. Also If you could recommend to me any services/applications that would prevent this from reocuring in the future I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again (great forum here)!!!

your friend,

Thats great well done ;)
It's basically a process of elimination to track down the exact cause of redirects, it can be caused by a number of things.
Resetting you're router was one of the options i was coming to :)
Thank you so much for all your help and support over these last few troublesome days. Also If you could recommend to me any services/applications that would prevent this from reocuring in the future I would greatly appreciate it.

You're most welcome, i will be recommending some security applications once we are done but stay with me we still need to check a few things.
I don't want to let you go until i know you're PC is totally clean and secure.
