Hi again

I visited the website- but it stated I didn`t require any updates at this stage.

That must mean I have the latest updates.

So going back to the secunia webpage- it still gives me an error message as described in my last post.

I always restart IE- and reboot.

Thanks

Gone back on the secunia website- and it keeps trying to load up the Java applet- it states

Status / Currently Processing:

Loading Java Applet... Try 36 of 50...

Eventually it said that there may be a problem with the Java Applet- and could not perfrom the scan.

I ran the other tool- named "Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI) "- and it produced this result.

Insecure Program (security threat) [?] Threat Rating [?] Solution [?] Forum [?]

Adobe Flash Player 9.x
1 Security Threat, rated as a: Category 4 Threat 1 solution should be applied

Any comments r.e. the above scanned result and also how I fix this Java Applet problem!!

Hi

If you've installed the PSI then there is no need to use the OSI.

Information regarding the Java applet problem can be found here:

http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanni ... ne/faq/#q1

===

Download links for an uninstaller of previous installations of Adobe Flash can be found in this topic:

viewtopic.php?p=506103#p506103

===

For the programs that are found to be insecure you need to update to the latest versions - removing the older, insecure versions.

Note that for any software that requires a one off payment or a paid subscription, it's your own prerogative whether you choose to pay to update these or not
