Drwatson crashes my PC

Hi there,

I am having problems when xp boots up. As soon as it logs in it comes up with two errors.The first one is Drwatson Debugger has encountered a problem and must close.
Now at this point it gives me the option of sending an error report or not sending, i have tried both options, both have the same effect of freezing my PC and the dialog box will not close.
Then another error message will appear saying Window Explorer has encountered a problem and must close but i cannot do anything after that. I have to do a soft shutdown via the power button on my PC as i can't even open my start menu. The mouse cursor is an hour glass and the only thing that moves.
This doesn't happen consistently most of the time WinXP boots up fine with no error messages or notable performance issues but am concerned of Malware due to the fact that the first time it happened i immediately did a virus scan using Avast home edition which picked up on 3 infected filed.

Please help me fix this problem

Punkbuster Warning
I see you have Punkbuster installed. Punkbuster can take control over various aspects of your computer, and some gaming tools not unlike Punkbuster also hinder their removals. By the definition we handle here, Punkbuster is actual spyware.
In PunkBuster's EULA, PunkBuster notes they may be considered invasive, and that they reserve the right to inspect someone's entire harddrive and all of their files: "Licensee understands and agrees that the information that may be inspected and reported by PunkBuster software includes, but is not limited to, Licensee's Internet Protocol Address, devices and any files residing on the hard-drive and in the memory of the computer on which PunkBuster software is installed."
Therefore, I now ask you to decide the following:

• Either we try to leave Punkbuster alone but there is no guarantee a spyware component doesn't 'accidentally' get taken out; so Punkbuster might break. This will, of course, also break your ability to play games using Punkbuster enabled servers.
• Or we can just remove Punkbuster. You can reinstall it afterwards if you wish, but please keep in mind that it is spyware.
• Another option is to not clean this computer at all. This ensures Punkbuster will continue to function.

Please let me know what you would like to do.

Fix HijackThis entries

• Run HijackThis
• Click on the do a system scan only button
• Put a check beside all of the items listed below (if present):

• When completed close the application.

REBOOT



TFC

• Please download TFC by Old Timer to your desktop,
• Save any unsaved work. TFC will close all open application windows.
• Double-click TFC.exe to run the program.
• Click the Start button in the bottom left of TFC
• If prompted, click "Yes" to reboot.

Note: Save your work. TFC will automatically close any open programs, let it run uninterrupted. It should not take longer than a couple of minutes , and may only take a few seconds. Only if needed will you be prompted to reboot.



Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM)

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

• Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
• At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick scan, then click on Scan
• When done, you will be prompted. Click OK. If Items are found, then click on Show Results
• Check all items then click on Remove Selected
• After it has removed the items, Notepad will open. Please post this log in your next reply.

random's system information tool (RSIT)

• Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from HERE and save it to your desktop.
• Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
• Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
• Once it has finished, two logs will open:
  
  • log.txt (<<will be maximized)
  • info.txt (<<will be minimized)
• Post both of these logs in your next reply (Sometimes you have to make several post to get the logs posted.)
