hi, i was recently hit with a virus because i didn't have virus protection, today i bought norton antivirus and it seems to have taken care of what was coming up (win 7 fake antivirus and another fake antivirus program screens kept coming up)

after running all the norton scans the screens stopped coming up but im sill deleting tracking cookies and other junk when i continue running norton scans, also when i try to open up any program, like for example, firefox a new screen pops up that asks me what i want to use to open the program. it didn't do this before.

is there some way i can check to make sure this virus is 100% gone? i can provide screenshots of anything that i am talking about if needed.

thanks
