Help please - ohtgoenriga redirecting my search engines!

Hadn't had any problems with my computer for about a year, until my friend used it a few days ago for a few hours... and since then I've had a bunch of issues, namely nonstop popups appearing (popups were all internet explorer despite me using firefox mostly) as well as redirecting of any search engine (e.g. google, yahoo, etc...). When I click on a link from any search engine, it goes directly to ohtgoenriga.com then directs me to some random other link.

I felt my computer was totally out of control. My antivirus was not picking anything up despite multiple scans. Since I'm no expert with computers, I download a free version of a anti-malware software (malwarebytes) and this stopped the popups, but the search engine redirecting continues. My school & job are highly dependent on my computer on a daily basis, so would really appreciate it if I can get some help!

Thank you for your reply. My computer problems continue as stated before and is driving my insane and not allowing me to do my work on my computer.

To answer your questions, both of those listed websites (VPN Client - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps2308/ , and O15 - Trusted Zone: http://remote.mednet.ucla.edu) are related to my work and likely have nothing to do with my problem. They are simply secure VPN systems or secure websites we use related to my work. I acceess them every few days/weeks, have been doing so for the past 3 years with no problems at all. I have not accessed it in the past month or so (my computer problems started just last week), but if you think they are related to my problem, I'm happy to remove them, and can reinstall or access them in the future if I need for work purposes.

Yes this is my personal computer. Are you talking about the software for the VPN you listed on your last post? I got it about 2 years ago from a very secure website related to my work, and I know 100's of other people who have the same secure software who have no problems with it.

The problem I am dealing, which started just last week, remains the same as I stated in my original post: Any internet search engine I use to do any search re-routes to random websites, whether I click on the search result or the cached result. It usually goes to ohtgnoenriga.com and/or to ezanga and then reroutes to some random website. I cannot do any meaningful searches. Initially I also had a bunch of random popups appearing on IE, even when I wasn't using my computer, but that went away after I ran malwarebytes, but the rerouting of searches continues.
