1) Remove the infected HD.
2) Connect, Format, and Install a new hard drive with Windows 7.
3) Reconnect the infected HD as a second HD (slave).
4) Use highjack and a virus removal program such as Kapersky running on the Win 7 HD to clean the infected drive.
5) When clean, I will copy program setup files (eg, program-setup.exe) from the slave HD to the Win 7 drive and install them. Following that, I will move the data files (eg, doc, mp3, exl etc).
6) Finally, reformat the infected hard drive.
