Right so i download an old version of msn, didn't want to use the new version, and I seemed to have got the trojan crs. So anyway, it disabled and messed up Norton as well as turning off windows defender too, I contacted Norton who updated me to a the new one, but the problem was still there. I then found crs.exe in task manager, went into safemode to kill it and logged back to normal mode and the problem was still there, so I went into start up on norton and found crs.exe was being allowed, I removed and then removed it from windows defender, then back into safe mode and deleted it. I went back to normal and it seemed to have gone and windows defender started up fine. I went to where the trojan was located and read the key file it made and what it had recorded and deleted the last of the stuff in there, I decided to do a follow up scan with A-squared free, which found two more crs files located directly in Nortons files, the location was something like C:\ProgramData\Norton\{[random numbers here]}\Norton\quickstart\[another numbered folder]. I looked in it and saw the application crs, I tried to removed both files with A-squared however it could only qurantine one the other it couldn't. [I have now deleted the qurantined file]. I logged back into normal mode and now norton and win defender were both off again, I checked the folder and it was empty and the location of where I found the main one in Users\Me\AppData\Temp\newtmp, nothig unsual was in the temp folder.

So I've now uninstalled Norton as it is being bloody useless and doing more scans and such, and now downloading AVG free trial and let that give it a go, but anyone have any advice? >.<

We're sorry, but it is necessary to close your topic because you have replied to it prior to receiving a response from a helper.

Due to adding on to your topic with your second post it is highly unlikely that you would have received a response. Our helpers are looking for topics with zero responses. When you post replies to your own topic, it no longer has zero responses, and so it appears that you have received help when in fact, you have not.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Malware Removal forum and wait for assistance. Please do not run additional programs and/or post additional logs. Just your HijackThis log to start with is adequate. Your helper will ask for additional logs as needed. DO NOT reply to your own topic until you have received a response from a helper. Be patient. There are others who have been waiting longer than you, so do not expect an immediate reply.
