This pop occurs about every 10-15 minutes with two windows popping up at the same time. The customer did follow the link and had the software installed. Any attempt at accessing the WWW also fails with IE complaining about an insecure connection. No web page, whether security related or not, can be accessed. I have done everything I know how to do and have removed most of the malware already on the computer using a combination of Mcafee and Spybot S&D from a custom boot CD. These efforts proved futile in removing the Conficker worm. I also attempted to remove the worm by using 3 different tools, Symantec's downadup removal tool, F-SECURE's malware removal tool, and Microsoft's removal tool with none producing total cleanup results. I have also followed Microsoft's removal guidelines to no avail.
Please note that I am using a separate computer to do all posting and the infected computer is not hooked up to any network.
