Hi Purple Hayes

clear java's cache:

control panel>java> under the general tab>settings>delete files

Things are looking good. Do you still notice any problems with your computer?

when I wrote my last note, I was looking at the same fake
web page trying to get me to buy malware software---the one
that made me contact you in the first place.
It had the appearance of the "my computer" screen, but
it functioned more like a pop-up. when I used cntrl+alt+del
I was able to close it. Just tried finding it so I could send you the
linke but wasn't able to. Also, turned onecare back on and it's
not showing any problems. So it may be that I'm clean.
Have to go out again (Haven't been home enough to check this thing)
and will try it again over the weekend and let you know.
Thank you again so much for your help on this.

Due to a lack of response, this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
