Computer keeps booting over and over again

Unread postby Gulfvet91 » October 11th, 2009, 5:37 pm

What does it mean when a computer just keeps rebooting? I got it to come up in Safe mode, so it isn't the power supply. I ran a scan with AVG and one with MalwareBytes. Neither of them found anything wrong but when I tried to go back to a regular Windows boot, it goes right back into rebooting everytime it starts to load the personal settings. I have tried going into Startup and Recovery to deselect Automatically Restart and I have run Regedit and made sure Userinit is set to C:\Windows\System32\userinit.exe. What else can I try that it is possible to do in Safe mode?
