I am stuck with the most infuriating problem.
I have linked my computer direct to the router using the ethernet cable, everything says I have a internet connection, and even my laptop is still connecting to the internet wirelesly.
In the lower task bar I have the 2 blue screens with the world in front showing access to local and internet.
When I do try to connect to the internet (IE
all I get is "Internet Explorer cannot display webpage"I have tried Firefox, but have the same problem with the error message "The connection was reset, problem loading page".
I have tried starting the computer in safe mode with network enabled and everything works fine, so I am confident that the network card is OK.
I have been using Trend Micro anti virus with no problems reported, apart from the usual updates, I have not installed any new software and everything has been working fine, untill suddenly my PC thought I should do without the internet.
