internet explorer opens new widows without warning

can some one help please, as the subject says, when using internet new windows will open without warning, I have scanned with mcafee, avg, windows defender, adaware but they have not resolved this problem also internet has slowed down alot, this has only started happening in the last two days. Thanks in advance

Remove one of your Anti Virus programs.
You are operating your computer with multiple Anti Virus programs running in memory at once:

AVG8
McAfee Antivirus

Anti-virus programs take up an enormous amount of your computer's resources when they are actively scanning your computer. Having two anti-virus programs running at the same time can cause your computer to run very slow, become unstable and even, in rare cases, crash.

Please remove one of them.

• Click on Open the Misc Tools section.
• Click on the Open Uninstall Manager... button.
• Click on the Save list... button.
• It will prompt you to save. Save this log in a convenient location. By default it's named uninstall_list.txt.

• Double-click on Rooter.exe icon on your desktop, to execute.
  If you recieve the "Open File" security warning, press Run. The Rooter interface will appear, with a variety of options displayed.
• To run the Scan... press the Scan...button.
• Notepad will open with a file created called "Rooter#.txt" ... located at %systemdrive%\Rooter$\Rooter#.txt. (# is the number assigned to the report)
  The location of the report file is shown in the bottom display window.
• Press the Close button, to close the Rooter window.

I have just received your message this morning. Thank you for taking the time to look at my problem.

I resolved the problem late last night after installing the malwarebytes program.

Just to let you know I wouldnt normally run 2 antivurus programmes but with the problems I was having I tried the avg as I know this can sometimes pick up things that mcafee misses.

Once again thankyou as I know the time you spend helping others is valuable.

Hello gixersix,

Thanks for letting me know that your problem is fixed.

A 2nd Antivirus is not needed, since you have fully installed McAfee with firewall, it will just make it slower and actually offers nothing more than McAfee.

You might want to add some additional Anti-Spyware programs for extra protection, plus using Malwarebytes often to scan your pc.

Here are some free programs I recommend that could help you improve your computer's security.

Spybot Search and Destroy 1.6
