Hi, Thank you for posting your HijackThis log and welcome to the forum. My name is hottroc and I am going to be helping you to remove any malicious infections from your system.

I shall examine your log and get back to you as soon as possible with further instructions.

I am currently still in training here so all my instructions to you will be double-checked by an expert before posting. This means there will be a small extra delay which I apologise for but please bear with us.

Hi, so sorry for the delay.

Download and run OTL

Download OTL by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.
  • Double click on OTL.exe to run it.
  • Under Output, ensure that Minimal Output is selected.
  • Under Extra Registry section, select Use SafeList.
  • Click the Scan All Users checkbox.
  • Click on Run Scan at the top left hand corner.
  • When done, two Notepad files will open.
    • OTListIt.txt <-- Will be opened
    • Extra.txt <-- Will be minimized
  • Please post the contents of these 2 Notepad files in your next reply.

Also can you please advise if you deliberately installed the Ask Toolbar? If you have then that's fine, just that it sometimes installs itself surrepticiously.
And also, you state you have a Trojan Virus. Can you tell me how you know and any other info related to your conclusion (eg you got the virus' name?) ?
