No malware/spyware/antivirus software will run on computer

Hello, I have an issue where no spyware/malware/antivirus software will run on my computer. About 3 weeks ago, the computer was infected with Home Antivirus 2010 that caused me to restore XP on my computer. I don't know if this is related, but all these programs worked after I restored XP.

Anyway, I contacted Microsoft Security service and they determined I had a rootkit somewhere, and needed to replace CAB and dll's. Since this is a Hewlett Packard PC, there is no XP system disk, just a couple recovery DVD's and a recovery partition. Microsoft could not help me further.

I did run SFC/scannow in accordance with HP's website directions, and all it achieved was to shut down my antivirus software completely, and I cannot get it started again.

Symptoms are: for Adaware and Malwarebytes, I get error messages, and for Spyware Doctor and my Comcast provided McAfee, I get no program response. Just a flicker on the drive and then they stop.

Included is a HiJack This log file. I also ran a combofix and Kaspersky from another site if needed. Any help would be appreciated.
