Panda ActiveScan found trojan

Unread postby davearillo » July 19th, 2009, 8:04 am

Hi guys,

You were all a big help to me a few years ago. Haven't had any problems until recently when I performed a maintenance check up on Panda Active Scan and it flagged me as having a trojan. Unfortunately, in trying to follow their disinfect advice I've lost the file name. Having done a bit of reading though, it seems that their scans aren't always reliable. The computer has been a bit erratic of late - and though I've followed all the advice given on keeping a lean, mean system, it still seems a bit sluggish. Perhaps one of you would be kind enough to check out my logfile?

Thanks in advance,

Dave.

Sorry to reply to my own post here. Not intended to be a bump. It's just that I rescanned with Panda and this is what the file was:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Net Stuff\Installations\Nero-7.2.7.0_eng.exe[Cab\CE86BCAB.cab][NBVSS_0378A38CD2.dll]

Is this a false positive?

We're sorry, but it is necessary to close your topic because you have replied to it prior to receiving a response from a helper.

Due to adding on to your topic with your second post it is highly unlikely that you would have received a response. Our helpers are looking for topics with zero responses. When you post replies to your own topic, it no longer has zero responses, and so it appears that you have received help when in fact, you have not.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Malware Removal forum and wait for assistance. Please do not run additional programs and/or post additional logs. Just your HijackThis log to start with is adequate, along with any other information you may want to provide as long as it's in the same post. Your helper will ask for additional logs as needed. DO NOT reply to your own topic until you have received a response from a helper. Be patient. There are others who have been waiting longer than you, so do not expect an immediate reply.

Thank you for your cooperation.
