Welcome to Malware Removal!
My name is Bjorn, known as Bv202 on this forum and I'll be happy to assist you with all your malware problems you have on your computer.

Before we start fixing your computer, there are a few points you need to know:
  • Please don't start a new topic, but reply on this one.
  • If you don't understand something, please ask!
  • If you find any new problems and/or details, please post them!
  • Please always try to reply within 5 days. If you know you won't be able to reply for any reason, please tell me so we don't close your thread.
  • As I'm still in training here at Malware Removal, all my posts needs to be checked by an expert first.

Remember: absence of symptoms does not mean your computer is clean!!
Please reply to this topic until I say your computer is clean.

I'm now researching your log. Once it's done, I'll be back to you.

In the meantime, please do this:
  • Open HijackThis.
  • Look under Misc tools.
  • Click on the Open Uninstall Manager... button.
  • Click on the Save list... button.
  • It will prompt you to save. Save this log in a convenient location. By default it's named uninstall_list.txt.
  • Notepad will open. Please copy and paste the contents of this log in your next reply.

Hi anthoniyb

Hosts File
Download HostsXpert v4.1 and unzip it to your computer, somewhere where you can find it.
  • Double click on HostsXpert.exe to launch the program.
  • Click on Restore MS Hosts File to restore your Hosts file to its default condition.
  • Click on Make ReadOnly to secure it against further infection.
  • Exit the program.

Download and run Combofix
We will begin with ComboFix.exe. Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:
This tool is not a toy and not for everyday use.
ComboFix SHOULD NOT be used unless requested by a forum helper

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Ensure you have disabled all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
If you need help to disable your protection programs see here.

When finished, it will produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.

Question: Do you have Level3 in Colorado as your Internet Service Provider?

In your next reply, please post:
1) The Combofix log
2) A new HijackThis log
3) Please answer my above question :)

Hi
I can't move forwards because i don't seem to be able to disable AVG
I have gone through services.msc and disabled but when i run combofix it says it still detects AVG as running
I have gone into avg after a reeboot and it says it's disabled but i don't want to run combofix as it says this can damage my computer

When i go into security centre after reboot after avg has been disabled it still says anti-virus software is running and i can't turn it off

I followed the hostXpert insrtuctions

I don't have Level3 in Colorado as my Internet Service Provider

Hey anthoniyb

Did you try to disable AVG with the instructions here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html ?

If so, what happens when you try that?

Due to a lack of response, this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
