Hijacked websites, programs close & taskmanager doesn't open

Unread postby krsjoe » June 26th, 2009, 11:31 am

Hello,
I work in a small office with typical network internet access. One of our PC's began showing signs of a problem when the user complained about things Not working. The problems include:
processes slowing down,
programs closing unexpectedly,
when working in Mozilla, links returned from searches through google etc. are hijacked the site: http://worldautoparts.org/?q= "keyword" and
when working in IE8, it continually reloads and displays a "tab recovery message" (can't actually do anything in IE).

When I attempted to open the task manager to see what was going on, I discovered it would not open.
I ran the Microsoft Fit Tool which eliminated some malicious files, but did not fix the problem.
I downloaded and paid for cyberdefender subscription which also identified and eliminated some different files, but did not fix the problem.
I downloaded and ran Spybot, it also identified files and removed them without fixing the problems.

I finally am trying Hijack This looking for some expert help. We do not have any "tech" people on staff. I have about the most experience, and that is troubleshooting simple hardware/software issue (usually operator error).

The log from the initial HijackThis scan is below:

Then I am unable to help as per rules:

"We do not help in cleaning business or corporate computers. There may be restrictions and modifications installed on such machines that could be damaged or altered by the actions we take to remove Malware. There may also be legal issues regarding any loss of business data that we do not wish to deal with.
If you ask for help and, unknown to us, it involves a business computer, you need to understand that any damages resulting from our advice are YOUR RESPONSIBILITY."
