Infected pretty badly; hijackthis.log posted; please help

Unread postby pohoatza » June 25th, 2009, 8:09 am

Hello. I'm new to the community (found it while googling for finding solutions to my problem) so I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge.

To be short, here is the problem: I have the Avira Antivirus, which detected and still detects no viruses, but suddently an attention window appeared in the right-buttom corner with the following error: "Windows was unable to save all the data for the file C:\$Mft. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere".

The same error pops up again and again with other folders instead of the C:$Mft thing.

As a consequence, the computer moves becomes slow (unusable actually). When I reboot it, the loading takes a lot of time (compared to the usual 10 seconds) and I get the error: "Insert boot key (or smth like that); press ctrl+alt+del to reboot". When I reboot again and again, the same thing appears and I can't run the computer.

The only solution is to wait for an hour or so to run it normally again (of course, until the pop-up errors reappear) or to run it in Safe Mode (thing which I'm doing now).

A friend of mine told me I might have the jeefo virus. He used a bitdefender removal kit, but with no luck.
Hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.
