IE still not working, suspect some malware left after clean

Spybot-SD Resident caught some weird registry changes happening which I denied. I then ran a full scan in safe mode which revealed some trojans and downloaders. I then ran full scans using spybot, adaware which revealed some malware. After all of NAV, spybot and adaware were coming up clean I was still having bizarre behavior and ran windows defender which found another downloader. Now all 4 are coming up clean. IE is still not working I suspect due to the (proxy) entry from HJT. I am unsure if my system is now clean, or that the current failures are leftovers of things that were cleaned. (E.g. HJT won't run installed from web, had to run previous version and I'm not able to reactivate system restore). Any expert advice concerning anything suspicious in the following would be much appreciated(... also the first thing that NAV caught was I believe called hacktool.rootkit, which sounds ominous to me) thanks in advance for any help!

Your HijackThis is outdated.

Click here to download HJTInstall.exe

• Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
• Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
• By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
• Click on Install.
• It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
• Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
• Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
• Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
• Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
• DO NOT use the AnalyseThis button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
• DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
