Hi

I have a problem when I try to log into a certain webpage and I am always redirected to networksolutions ups.surveyrouter. It doesn't happen for any other websites that I visit. I haven't a clue how to fix it and would be delighted if someone could help. My log is below.

Installed Programs

Please could you give me a list of the programs that are installed.

• Start HijackThis
• Click on the Misc Tools button
• Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.

You will see a list with the programs installed in your computer.
Click on save list button and specify where you would like to save this file.
When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file.
Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad into your next post.

As you have this program..

Set Options in CCleaner and run Cleaning Scan.
Open CCleaner if it's not already running.
( Do not use the Registry block to clean anything with this program. It is for experts only and it is risky).

• Select Cleaner Settings.
  Check Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, and System so that all items are checked. In the Advanced section, have a check only on Old PreFetch Data.
• Click on the Options block on the left. Select Advanced.
  Uncheck Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours.
• Set Cookie Retention.
  Click on the Options block on the left, then choose Cookies.
  Under the Cookies to delete pane, highlight any cookies you would like to retain permanently (those companies or sites with which you regularly visit or do business), and click the right arrow > to move them to the Cookies to keep pane.
• Run Cleaning Scan. Click on the Cleaner block on the left. Choose the Windows tab.
  Click the Run Cleaner button. This process could take a while. When CCleaner shows how much has been removed, cleaning is finished.

Please download and try running this: randmbam.exe

It will try to create random names and shortcuts for MBAM if you have it installed already. If this does not work we will try something else.

Hi, I will need you to run malwarebytes again as you did'nt click fix items! ( no action taken )



Run HijackThis, select Do a system scan only and place checks against the following entries (if they are still present)

Now please read this Information about: Incredimail
Because of this I would recommend removing this off your system please use Add/Remove to Uninstall Then Navigate to then
Right-Click on and Delete the Incredimail folder: C:\Program Files\IncrediMail





Please go into the Control Panel, Add/Remove and for now remove ALL versions of JAVA

Then run this tool to help cleanup any left over Java
Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system.
Please download JavaRa and unzip it to your desktop.
***Please close any instances of Internet Explorer (or other web browser) before continuing!***

• Double-click on JavaRa.exe to start the program.
• From the drop-down menu, choose English and click on Select.
• JavaRa will open; click on Remove Older Versions to remove the older versions of Java installed on your computer.
• Click Yes when prompted. When JavaRa is done, a notice will appear that a logfile has been produced. Click OK.
• A logfile will pop up. Please save it to a convenient location and post it back when you reply
  
  Then look for the following Java folders and if found delete them.
  C:\Program Files\Java
  C:\Program Files\Common Files\Java
  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Java
  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sun\Java
  C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Java
  C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Sun\Java

Download and Update Java Runtime
The most current version of Sun Java is: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 13.

• Go to http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
• Go to Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 13 about half way down the page and click on the Download button.
• In Platform box choose Windows.
• Check the box to Accept License Agreement and click Continue.
• Click on Windows Offline Installation, click on the link under it which says jre-6u12-windows-i586-p.exe and save the downloaded file to your desktop.
• Install the new version by running the newly-downloaded file with the java icon which will be on your desktop, and follow the on-screen instructions.
• Uncheck the Toolbar button (unless you want the toolbar)
• Reboot your computer

Please go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan.

1. Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
   
2. It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run.
   
3. When the downloads have finished, click on Settings.
   
4. Make sure these boxes are checked (ticked). If they are not, please tick them and click on the Save button:
   Spyware, Adware, Dialers, and other potentially dangerous programs
   Archives
   Mail databases
5. Click on My Computer under Scan.
   
6. Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report.
   
7. You will see a list of infected items there. Click on Save Report As....
   
8. Save this report to a convenient place. Change the Files of type to Text file (.txt) before clicking on the Save button.
   
9. Please post this log in your next reply.

The Malware, I fixed this time and I'll take the advice on Incredimail once I figure how I'm going to transfer my folders into Outlook.

Item kaspersky flagged is safe as HJT has it.
unfortunately you still didn't check fix items in the malwarebytes scan as you can see from your log report No action taken

How are things now with the pc?

Everything is working fine - my comp. is faster now and when I remove Incredimail it should be even better. I'm sure I clicked fix on the Malware scan but I noticed that they hadn't been removed in the log so I'll have another go.
