I received help from your forum and am happy to say I am free of any problems...i think.... I was wondering if there is a way for me to paste information showing what my computer is running etc..to see if there are problems I am not aware of. I am not computer saavy so I have no clue if theres somthing going on or not. I have a cursor problem now and for some reason the hour glass will not go away.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance and pardon my inexperience in terminology. I only know how to turn it on and surf!!!!

thanks in advance!!

We are specialists at malware removal.
We could advise, but we may not be the best people for what you need.

If you have a Dell computer, I would advise you to post with thier forums, if not PCPitstop is very good with general queries.

Is also a forum (on this same server) at http://www.computertrouble.co.uk which could help with non malware problems.

If you think you have a malware problem still, post a HJT log and we will check - if that proves clean, I would suggest you try one of those forums for assistance.

I ran spysweeper and it said it found spyaxe. I am not sure if its back on my computer or not...hope not!

If you still had spyaxe, you would know, not think you had it.

What that has found is probably a small piece of spyaxe such as a registry key left behind, not something to worry about.

Regarding your log, it is clear of malware. But does have some things that are not required.

One - myway (installed by Dell) - optional if you wish to remove try following this post.
http://castlecops.com/p600607-Get_rid_o ... tml#600607

Your other infection is a bad dose of AOL (sorry don't like them). Thier software is always bloated.

As you have a Dell, I would suggest you ask for non malware help at thier forum :-
http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/
Probably best in the windows XP board. The experts thier know thier Dell machines and would be best to offer you that advice.

Tell them you have been checked for malware at this forum (provide a link back to this topic even), and provide them with a HJT log, asking for ideas on how to speed up your machine etc.
