Hi, I already posted my log, which has not been replied to (I hope I didn't screw up the directions). But I have a different question: If my computer has spyware/virus'/malware on my windows OS, and I want to switch to Ubuntu Only. Can I just uninstall windows and install ubuntu, therefore wiping out the infections or is it more complicated and thus a potential bleed over into the new OS?
If you no longer want to use Windows and you instead want to use one of the Linux iterations, such as Ubuntu, your best option is to reformat your infected hard drive, thereby wiping out the infections, and then install the new operating system.
If you decide to do this, then please post a notification in your other topic that help is no longer needed.
