Hijack-This Log for recurring pop-up box and IE

Unread postby please_help » February 5th, 2009, 4:17 pm

Hi, i'm currently getting a recurring pop-up internet explorer page (whether online or not) and pop-up 'Alert' box saying i have a security problem & do i want to scan my computer. Both of which keep trying to direct me to a website 'anykuy.com'.
Also I installed a programme called viewtubesoftware.40018.EXE-20F4BAB5.pf under the location of C:\windows\prefetch just before the problem started but i have since removed it and the problem still occurs, not sure if this is anything to do with it or not. I've tried using 5 different spyware programs to no avail. :|

09/02/09
As from today my computer only lets me get as far as the login screen, when i press on my user name it says 'logging in' then goes bk saying 'saving settings' and logs out straight away back to the login screen and i cannot get past this stage. This is also the case when i try to start it in safe mode.

My Hijack-this log is below:

Hi please_help

Have you tried Last Known Good Configuration?

To load the last known good configuration:
  • If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power.
  • Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
  • Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears.
  • (If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.)
  • Use your arrow keys to move to "Last Known Good Configuration" and press your Enter key.

Hi,
Yep i've tried that as well, again it didn't work none of the usual options are working. i have also used the repair function on the windows xp disk but i'm geting a computer restart loop everytime it gets to the login page. i don't know if this can be fixed without reinstalling windows, if not then i would just like to know how to back up data already on the hard drive.

Thanks

Hi please_help

I am not an expert at this type of problem. I would suggest that you go to one of the forums below that specialize in more general computer problems. They have people that know more about this sort of problem because it does not seem to be a malware problem.
