Hi.
My computer is infected with a DNS Changer, it was in november and I noticed it in december, because I can update Windows. I had Norton Internet Security, but it didn't detected it. I run Windows Live One Care OnLine and it says that my computer had a Virus Alureon.gen, but it didn't remove the virus. Then I download Avira Antivir Personal, Malwares Bytes Antimalware(This says that my computer is infected with DNS Changer), Spybot Search & Destroy (This says my computer is infected with Trojan Zlob), but I can clean my comp. It looks like the virus has erased itself, because any antivirus can detect it right now, but leaving infected my comp. Malware Bytes and Spybot, just detect the entries in the Regestry and clean those, but the registry is changed again.
Well, I hope you can help me. Sorry for my English, I'm from Peru.
Thank you.

If you run a quick scan and let MBAM remove what it finds, do those same entries come back?

Yes. Until Monday, I had installed SpyBot, too; and the same thing: SB detected the infected entries and after remove it, they get back again. Monday I coud not update SB, so I uninstalled it, saving the Logs. When I tried to install SB again, I couldn't, because I can not access to it Server. I can not update Avira, neither AdAware (This one I installed yesterday). Of course, I can not update Windows, neither Windows Defender.

Then you have likely hacked router which needs to be resetted.

Which router you have (brand/model)?

I have a DSL connection, the first thing connected is a brand WESTELL - Model 2200 ( I think it's the Modem), and then is one LINKSYS - WRT 150 N - Wireless N - Home Router.
In my home, we have 4 computers working with the same connection. I just have seen in their Registries, the four have the same problem (Entries for the DNS Changer).

So are all computers connected to both LINKSYS and WESTELL?

Then please do this.

First reset both devices, check that DHCP settings are default ones and change default password.

After that re-run mbam in every computer in a way that they are not connected to those devices, reconnect after scan and tell me if DNS changer appears upon rescan.

Due to lack of response this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
