Possiable hijack strange things happening to my computer!

Unread postby josie mayhem » December 6th, 2005, 11:40 am

I'm a newbie, so sorry if I've haven't gone the right way around things.

But I have had strange behaviour out of my computer, playing music and opening applications at some strange times of the day or night, while my computer is left unatteinded, so in the main forum that I use, it was suggested that I carry out a hijack scan and put the log here. So here it is;

Hello and Welcome to MalwareRemoval Forums

Image

If you have not already installed Ad-Aware SE 1.06, please download and install AdAware SE 1.06.
Check Here on how setup and use it - please make sure you update it first.
And perform a scan, make sure you delete all the items in red

Restart your computer now.

If you have not already installed Spybot S&D 1.4
Download Spybot S&D, make sure you update it, and then perform a full scan, make sure you delete every item found.

Restart your computer now.

After your computer has restarted, Scan with hijack this and post your log here.

If you have already performed a full scan with these two programs, please tell me so

Please also do the following to see which programs need to be removed

  • Open HiJackThis
  • Click on the configure button on the bottom right
  • Click on the tab "Open the Misc Tools Session"
  • Click on the Box that says "Uninstall Manager"

Sorry that I haven't replied so far, but I've unabled to get near my computer due to a very busy week...

I have carried out the ad-ware scan and was quite suprised to what was on my computer, have deleted the red ones, but concerning spybot I've got to the stage of downloading and installing it and will run it tonight, then redo the hijack log. Hopefully I shall be able to post this later today.... work load pending!
