Hijacked Browser - Redirects Search Engine Results

Hello there,

When I conduct a search with Yahoo or Google (whether through the browser's search bar or directly on http://www.yahoo.com or http://www.google.com), the search engine result pages are obviously hijacked or redirected. I should mention that it appears to only affect Yahoo and Google; searches conducted in Lycos or Ask appear normal. The titles and descriptions that normally appear do not match the displayed urls. It's pretty obvious for well known websites. For example, a search for "McAfee" displays...

Also, it takes the computer considerably longer than normal to display search engine results.

Make an uninstall list using HijackThis
To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

• Start HijackThis
• Click on the Config button
• Click on the Misc Tools button
• Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
• Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Save the file to your desktop.

REMOVE VIEWPOINT
You have Viewpoint, Viewpoint Manager, Viewpoint Media Player installed on your system. These programs are not malware but are considered as foistware instead of malware since they are installed without user's approval, and for this reason I recommend you remove them.
To uninstall the the Viewpoint components (Viewpoint, Viewpoint Manager, Viewpoint Media Player):

• Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
• In Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs.
• In Add or Remove Programs, highlight >>Viewpoint component<< , click Remove.
• Do the same for each Viewpoint component.

Download and Run: RSIT

• Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
• Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
• Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
• Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)

• RSIT Logs (log.txt & info.txt)
• Uninstall list asked for in my first post.
