Online scans crash my browsers

Unread postby Malwaremichael » January 12th, 2009, 4:22 pm

Presario laptop on Windows XP has become slower and slower last 8 wks. Tried to run Kaspersky online scan but as soon as I clicked 'start scan' button Firefox crashed. It reopens and works fine on other sites (but whole machine very slow). Same result with Trend Housecall, Firefox crashes as soon as the scan window opens. Same thing happens with IE7 on both scans. Please can you help?

I have been able to fix the problem myself. It was mainly computer related rather than malware though I did have one infection which I removed using your excellent instructions from an earlier problem. Once again, many thanks
