Welcome to Malware Removal!
My name is Bjorn, known as Bv202 on this forum and I'll be happy to assist you with all your malware problems you have on your computer.

Before we start fixing your computer, there are a few points you need to know:
  • Please don't start a new topic, but reply on this one.
  • If you don't understand something, please ask!
  • If you find any new problems and/or details, please post them!
  • Please always try to reply within 5 days. If you know you won't be able to reply for any reason, please tell me so we don't close your thread.
  • As I'm still in training here at Malware Removal, all my posts needs to be checked by an expert first.

Remember: absence of symptoms does not mean your computer is clean!!
Please reply to this topic until I say your computer is clean.

I'm now researching your log. Once it's done, I'll be back to you.

In the meantime, please do this:
  • Open HijackThis.
  • Look under System tools.
  • Click on the Open Uninstall Manager... button.
  • Click on the Save list... button.
  • It will prompt you to save. Save this log in a convenient location. By default it's named uninstall_list.txt.
  • Notepad will open. Please copy and paste the contents of this log in your next reply.
See in this link details.

Unread postby Bv202 » December 31st, 2008, 6:18 am

Hi Thrashernyc

REMOVE P2P PROGRAMS
IMPORTANT I notice there are signs of one or more P2P (Person to Person) File Sharing Programs on your computer.

BitComet

Before I can continue with cleaning your system, you must remove any/all Peer-to-Peer filesharing programs. For an explanation of our policy, please read the following P2P Program Policy

Note: Even if you are using a "safe" P2P program, it is only the program that is safe. You will be sharing files from uncertified sources, and these are often infected. The bad guys use P2P filesharing as a major conduit to spread their wares.

Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the programs listed above (in red) NOW.

Please also remove this:
ZoneAlarm Spy Blocker Toolbar
Have a look here why you shouldn't install this product.

SmitfraudFix
Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe.
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

In your next reply, please post:
1) A new HijackThis log (after deleting BitComet and the toolbar)
2) The SmitfraudFix log

Hi thrashernyc

RSIT
  • Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<< will be maximized) and info.txt (<< will be minimized)

Im getting an "autoIt Error"
Line -1:
Error: Error parsing function call.

the error occurs at the "performing registry dump" portion of the scan.

Tried running 3 times same error same place every time.

Edit:
Also dont know why but my time on the bottom left is in military time now.

Hi

Don't worry about the errors, we'll try another tool :)

Download DDS
Download at your desktop DDS from one of the links below:

Link1
Link2
Link3
  • Double click the tool to run it.
  • A black Screen will open, just read the contents and do nothing.
  • When the tool finish it will open 2 reports.
  • Copy/paste both reports back here and remove DDS from your desktop.

Hi again Thrashernyc

Remove one of your Anti Virus programs.
You are operating your computer with multiple Anti Virus programs running in memory at once:
Webroot AntiVirus with AntiSpyware
ESET NOD32 Antivirus

Anti-virus programs take up an enormous amount of your computer's resources when they are actively scanning your computer. Having two anti-virus programs running at the same time can cause your computer to run very slow, become unstable and even, in rare cases, crash.

Please remove one of them via add/remove programs.

Download and Run OTMoveIt3
Download OTMoveIt3 by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.
  • Double-click OTMoveIt3.exe. (Vista users, please right click on OTMoveit3.exe and select "Run as an Administrator")
  • Copy the lines in the codebox below.
Code: Select all
:Files
c:\windows\system32\xsl27629.dll
c:\windows\system32\sl27629.dll
c:\windows\system32\monhftd.dll
c:\windows\system32\ropfnqz.exe
C:\windows\system32\msiconf.exe
c:\windows\system32\svch?st.exe /u

  • Return to OTMoveIt3, right click in the Paste Instructions for Items to be Moved window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar), and paste it in your next reply.
  • Close OTMoveIt3

In your next reply, please post:
1) The OTMoveIt3 log
2) A new HijackThis log

Hello again

This could be caused by the malware which is still present on the machine - please follow the instructions I gave you and we'll try to do something about these problems if they still present after this.
