Antivirus 2009, Spyware guard 2008 and virtumonde infection

Unread postby anonymous4 » December 23rd, 2008, 3:06 pm

I've found Antivirus 2009 and Spyware guard 2008 on my computer and since than, I can’t run spybot s&d, I can’t update adaware 2008 or AVG, and can’t install Hijackthis or Malwarebytes ANti-Malware. None of the scans pick up Antivirus 2009 or Spyware guard 2008.

I've also tried running Housecall trend micro from

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

but I get redirected to a different site whenever I try to access the site. I can't even access this site from my computer! I just get redirected again or a message saying no internet connection. I have no clue what to do. Someone please help. The only thing that does run is CCleaner but it doesn't seem to help.

EDIT 25/12/08:
can someone please help? Every anti-spyware program can't pick anything up, some can't update and can't install. I can't install Hijackthis, I can't install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and I even tried renaming it and than installing but still doesn't work. What other program can I try? Any help appreciated

In order for us to help you it is necessary that you provide us with a HijackThis log. A HijackThis log, as well as other logs that may be requested, provide us with a guideline for removing whatever malware is infecting your system. We cannot proceed without such logs for guidance.

Please follow the guideline at the link below to start a new topic and post your HijackThis log. If you are unable to create and post a HijackThis log, then your only option may be to reformat your computer and reinstall the operating system.

This topic is now closed. If you are able to create a HijackThis log, then please start a new topic by following the HijackThis Guideline posted here: >Guideline for posting your HijackThis log<
