Hi, You guys have helped me before, but I've never had computer issues like this, I will be going from computer to computer transferring downloads, and Hijack Logs, My internet will not work on my computer, It started by redirecting all sites like this one, Or a antivirus one. I cannot run Malware Bytes, or SDFix So I've ran Hijackthis (surprised it ran) and copied it onto a card and here it is.

Thanks.

PS. Stopzilla now removed.

I've now tryed to system restore in safe mode, but it will not run, it works until it says click next, then nothing happens, also I've tried transferring Combofix, SDFix, and MalwareBytes and neither would run in safe mode... Any other program runs fine, just none that have anything to do with fixing it, my computer is also now having issues with starting up regularly, it freezes up a lot.

Hello and welcome to the forums!

I'm Odd dude, pleased to meet you; if it helps, you can call me OD ;). I'm very sorry it took us so long to reply to your topic, the forums are swamped right now. If you still need help please take into account the below and perform the following instructions:

  • Logs from malware removal programs (Hijackthis is one of them) can take some time to analyze. I need you to be patient whilst I analyze any logs you post.
  • Please carefully read any instruction that I give you.
Reading too lightly will cause you to miss important steps, which could have destructive effects.
  • If you're not sure, or if something unexpected happens, do NOT continue! Stop and ask!
  • Only YOU must use these instructions, they are not suitable for any other computer with similar problems.
  • Do not do things I do not ask for, such as running a spyware scan. The one thing you should always do, though, is making sure that your antivirus definitions are up-to-date!
  • If I tell you to download a tool which you already have, please re-download it and do not use the copy you already have. This is because the tools are updated regularly.
  • In Windows Vista, all tools need to be started by right clicking and selecting Run as administrator!
  • I am going to stick with you until ALL malware is gone from your system. I would appreciate it if you were to do the same. From this point, we're in this together ;)
  • As I am still in training at the Malware Removal University, anything I do must be checked by an experienced malware fighter. This means there might be a slight delay in my answers.
  • Lastly, I am no magican. I will try very hard to fix your issues, but no promises can be made. Also be aware that some infections are so severe that you might need to resort to reformatting and reinstalling your operating system. Don't worry, this only happens in severe cases, but it sadly does happen. Be prepared to back up your data. Have means of backing up your data available.

I am now analyzing your situation and hope to be back with you soon. While I am reviewing your situation, could you please do the following for me:

Make an Uninstall List
I need you to create an uninstall list so I can further analyze your situation.

  • Start HijackThis.
  • Click Open the Misc Tools section
  • Click Open Uninstall Manager
  • Click Save list...
  • Save the list to your desktop, or any other convenient place.

Please post back:
  • Uninstall list
  • New hijackthis log

GMER
Do not touch the computer while GMER is running! If you do, it'll go completely unresponsive and you'll have to shut it down using the power switch. Just don't touch the PC while GMER is working.

Please download gmer.zip by GMER.

  • Right click the file you just downloaded and choose Extract all
  • Click Next
  • Click Browse
  • Click the + next to My Computer
  • Click Local Disk (C:)
  • Click Make new folder
  • Enter GMER
  • Click OK, then Next
  • Check Show extracted files and click Finish
  • Double click on GMER.exe to run it.
  • Select the Rootkit tab.
  • On the right hand side, check all the items to be scanned, but leave Show All box unchecked.
  • Select all drives that are connected to your system to be scanned.
  • Click on the Scan button.
  • When the scan is finished, click Copy to save the scan log to the Windows clipboard.
  • Open Notepad or a similar text editor.
  • Paste the clipboard contents into the text editor.
  • Save the GMER scan log and post it in your next reply.
  • Close GMER.

Note: if GMER won't run please rename gmer.exe to bunny.pif and then try to run it again.

Post back:
- GMER log
- new HijackThis log (as requested in previous post)
- uninstall list (as requested in previous post)

I must mention that I am going from computer to computer, because my other one is so bad it will barely start. I downloaded and followed the instructions to the GMER it just simply would not run on my other computer, I opened it up fine on this one, but when I double click it, it looks like it's loading then just stops, It comes up in the task manager but won't run... The same happens with combofix, SDfix, MalwareBytes and any other program I've tryed.

Here are the current logs requested.

Also I forgot to mention the possible root of the problem, Since I don't exactly know what it means I took a screen shot, about every 45 minutes this pops up.

PS, also sites like this one will not run on my other computer, it redirects them, that is when I am able to run mozilla, most of the time it shuts itself down and says to much at risk to run.

Yeah, something really bad is interfering with everything we try.

Also I forgot to mention the possible root of the problem, Since I don't exactly know what it means I took a screen shot, about every 45 minutes this pops up.

That is fake, and generated by malware. Do not worry about it. We have more pressing matters on our minds.

Unfortunately the following shows in your running processes:
C:\Documents and Settings\winuser\Desktop\uTorrent.exe

Please read this topic: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=33112

I want you to realize this: Person-to-Person file sharing programmes are the #1 cause of infection to people. The program might not be infected, but the files you download with it most certainly can - and in fact, most of them will - be infected.

I want you to remove µtorrent now by deleting the executable from your desktop.

I also want you to uninstall LimeWire PRO 4.12.3 now

Adobe Flash Player 9 ActiveX is outdated and should be uninstalled for your safety.

Download ComboFix (if you already have it please redownload it as it's being updated very regularly and it is crucial for you to have the most up-to-date version)

PLEASE RENAME COMBOFIX.EXE TO COMBIFAX.EXE BEFORE SAVING IT

Note: do not panic if your antivirus software says combofix is a virus. Combofix uses very brute tactics which are very similar to malware behaviour. It's a false positive.

Now do the following:
  • Disable ALL antivirus/antimalware programs before proceeding!
  • Now start ComboFix
  • The tool will check whether the Recovery Console is present on your system. If it is not, ComboFix will prompt you whether you would like to install it.
  • If it is not, make sure you are connected to the internet as ComboFix needs to download a file. When you are connected to the internet, click Yes and follow the prompts. When asked whether to continue scanning or to exit, click Yes to continue scanning (no need to disconnect from the internet as ComboFix breaks your internet connection for you).
  • Do not touch the computer AT ALL while ComboFix is running!
  • When finished, the report will open. Reenable your protection software and post the log in your next reply along with a new hijackthis log and a new uninstall list

If you cannot connect to the internet after running ComboFix, plug the cable/reciever/whatever you use to connect to the internet out and back in.

If the renamed combofix doesn't run inform me ASAP.

So.... post back to me:
- combofix log
- new hijackthis log
- new uninstall list

If combofix didn't run please post just the uninstall list and inform me.

Due to lack of response this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
