Cannot load or run any antivirus

Recently my 13 year old said she was looking for a video on "moviepinky?" or something like that. I am not clear what she may have clicked on but it froze the computer. I was made aware the following morning when I realized that the computer was frozen. When I re-booted I received an error message from the SuperAnti Spyware software that is on the machine. I began looking and quickly realized that I cannot access any website that contains virus protection related software. I am presently using my fiance's computer. I tried to purchase a copy of McAfee antivirus and cannot install that either. I tried running a program that someone recommended called "malwarebytes" but it would not load or run that either. I am posting my hijackthis information below.

In general, I am computer illiterate. I can tear apart a rebuild a car engine and associated electronics... but this stuff really frustrates me. Hope you can help.

One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor trojan.

This allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and Download and Execute files

I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.

Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Hmmm, I suppose calling this an unfortunate turn of events would be an understatement.

I'm going to dig in today and see what i can do about re-installing the OS. Just bought a backup drive, so.... I guess i can put it to work:)

I have reloaded the OS (XP) and as of last night all of the service pak updates. I also have new antivirus on the computer. I would like to re-run hijack this and post back for your input just to be sure.
