Hi everybody,

it seems that I got a trojan. Since one week my Norton Internet Security frequently pops up with a message saying something like "Intrusion prevented from the address onestopstation.net/asdz/nice.jpg (98.131.120.210). Destination path DEVICE\HARDDISKVOLUME1\WINDOWs\SYSTEM32\SVCHOST.EXE"

I ran various virus scan programs with the latest definitions (F-Secure, Norton, Kaspersky) but no virus / malware was found. The same when I start in the safe mode. According to a new Norton entry this problem might be caused by the Trojan.Vundo. I used the removal tool with no result. When I tried to do it manually I saw that the typical entries (as listed by Norton) were not in my registry.

I also tried to change my IP address but I still get these attacks, which are luckily all blocked.

Does anyone of you malware-geeks have an idea how to solve this problem? Your help is highly appreciated.

Here is my logfile:

Hi,

sorry for the delay. I was very busy the last days and found no time to run the programs. However, I found out that the problem disappeared after I removed the fixed IP address for my WLAN connection and changed to get one assigned automatically. After sticking to this option for a couple of days I tried today to reassign my old fixed IP address and so far the Norton Internet Security Message did not pop up again. Strange...

Ah... I see.

To be on the safe side, please run the programs as requested. ;)

We can help you clear any malware issues if there are any.

Due to lack of response, this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
