Hi
AVG has been popping up with warnings of multiple threats. I have deleted them at each point, but it still keeps coming up. I have run Malwarebytes scans, which has been picking up some infected files. However the problems remain of a very slow computer,especially with the internet, which works intermittently. I have some very important work in very soon, so would really appreciate a fast(ish) response.

• Logs from malware removal programs (Hijackthis is one of them) can take some time to analyze. I need you to be patient whilst I analyze any logs you post.
• Please carefully read any instruction that I give you.
  Reading too lightly will cause you to miss important steps, which could have destructive effects.
• If you're not sure, or if something unexpected happens, do NOT continue! Stop and ask!
• Only YOU must use these instructions, they are not suitable for any other computer with similar problems.
• Do not do things I do not ask for, such as running a spyware scan. The one thing you should always do, though, is making sure that your antivirus definitions are up-to-date!
• If I tell you to download a tool which you already have, please re-download it and do not use the copy you already have. This is because the tools are updated regularly.
• In Windows Vista, all tools need to be started by right clicking and selecting Run as administrator!

• Lastly, I am no magican. I will try very hard to fix your issues, but no promises can be made. You are currently receiving help at SpywareInfo and you have also posted your log at the Tech Support Guy forums. Possibly, you have posted topics at other sites as well.

While we appreciate that you very likely posted at multiple forums in order to ensure a response, that only serves to tie up the time of multiple helpers who could be using that time to help someone else who also has problems. Although there are many forums that handle HijackThis logs, there are not so many helpers; most of us help out at several forums. In addition, the results may not work out so well when you're following different instructions from different helpers. They may suggest different approaches for the same problem, all of which may be good; however, system conflicts may arise if different fixes for the same problem are applied simultaneously.

In the future, for your sake as well as ours, please refrain from requesting help from multiple forums. Choose one, and stick with that one until they've resolved your problem.
