Unread postby CookieRocks » October 9th, 2008, 2:27 am

Hi,

I keep getting the subjected pop up every 5 minutes.

It mentions 'Trojan-Spy.Win32.KeyLogger.aa' Risk Level: CRITICAL.

I'm quite positive that this is a rouge anti virus pop up. Hoever, I cant seem to get rid of it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Windows Security Alert pop-ups.

Unread postby CookieRocks » October 9th, 2008, 7:49 pm

Update:

I have run a few scans, and I think I've eradicated the problem. I'm no expert, but know a few things that are worth trying. The new HijackThis log is below. Obviously, I'm not sure if everything looks fine enough to say that there is no problem anymore, so if the log can be looked at and if there is something more that I should do, please help me.

Looking at the log myself, there are certain things that I am wary about, I will highlight them in bold, if these are problems then please guide me on sorting it out.

Thanks

Sorry, this topic has been closed.

We're sorry you did not receive a response to your topic. This is most likely because you have replied to your own topic prior to receiving a response from a helper. Our helpers are looking for topics with zero responses. When you post replies to your own topic, it no longer has zero responses, and so it appears that you have received help when in fact, you have not.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Malware Removal forum and wait for assistance. DO NOT reply to your own topic until you have received a response from a helper. Helpers are looking for topics that have zero replies. If you post a reply in your own topic before you've received a response from a helper, your topic will no longer have zero replies and will likely be mistaken for one where a helper is already assisting and will, therefore, be passed over.

Thank you for your cooperation.
