Pop-ups and notifications

Hi

i keep getting advertisement pop-ups. i also have trend-micro installed and i get notifications that there are trojan programs installed.
pls help me in getting rid of these.

In General, we do not help in cleaning business or corporate computers. There may be restrictions and modifications installed on such machines that could be damaged or altered by the actions we take to remove Malware. There may also be legal issues regarding any loss of business data that we do not wish to deal with.

This site exists for the purpose of helping home computer users rid their systems of malware, not business users, so I'm sorry we won't be able to help.

actually this is my personal laptop that i bring to the office. but i can send a new post from my home if you think this would help.

Hi Scanjet,

Working on anything connected or associated with a business network could possibly have repercussions for the network, therefore cleaning this machine would be against forum policy.

I'm terribly sorry that we won't be able to help but I hope you understand the policy is in place for good reasons.

I strongly recommend you advise your corporate IT Department if the machine may have been connected to the network when infected, there may be other machines affected by this problem. I'm sure they'll want to ensure it's clean before it's reconnected so they may be willing to help.
