Unable to poll http servers.

I can no longer receive emails from my Hotmail Account using Outlook Express. I receive the message:Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server..... when trying to login. No problem using OE and the account with outher computers. One change made to my system recently was uograding to IE7. I have found many issues with IE7 and OE and hotmail no longer working searching the net and have tried all the soultions without any change. One topic area of solutions involvres checking for malware that could be a problem with Hotmail and the increased security in IE7. I have tried SpyBot and AdWare but no change. If I have a Malware issue, I obviously need more help. Please let me know if you can see a problem from the hijackthis log. To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

• Start HijackThis
• Click on the Open The Misc Tool Section button
• Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
• Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Save the file to your desktop and post the contents in a reply to this topic. Also post a fresh HijackThis log and tell me if your initial problem is still existing.

Unfortunately the user rules state that we are not allowed to clean business computer:

In General, we do not help in cleaning business or corporate computers. There may be restrictions and modifications installed on such machines that could be damaged or altered by the actions we take to remove Malware. There may also be legal issues regarding any loss of business data that we do not wish to deal with.

You'd better contact the IT department of the company.

What I can tell you is that the log looks clean. Unless something is really hiding itself I do not think malware is causing your problem.

John, Sorry I didn't pay attention to the rules and may have abused the system. I manage my own computer at work and don't look at it like a "business" PC. However, the rule does make sense and apprciate the level of integrity of thr group. I do thank you for your comment about the system looking clean.
