Using Firefox this seems to have affected my computer so that the browser always opens 2 tabs, one for my desired home page and one for my.safeappsoftware.com.

Can't seem to get rid of it and have tried all sorts of anti-spyware etc programs. Can anyone help me? Below is my hijack this logfile:

IMPORTANT I notice there are signs of one or more P2P (Peer to Peer) File Sharing Programs on your computer.

BitTorrent

I'd like you to read the MRU policy for P2P Programs.

Please go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the programs listed above (in red).NOW


1 - uninstall list

Make an uninstall list using HijackThis
To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Config button
3. Click on the Misc Tools button
4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
5. Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad here on your next reply.

2 - Run Hijackthis
Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad

3 - Status Check
Please reply with


1. the uninstall list
2. a fresh HijackThis log
description of any problems you are having with your PC

No I am OK thanks. I didn't actually have any Bit Torrent software installed (I had some in the past) but in the end did some wiping and managed to obviate the difficulty.
