Rootkit Attack - please help

Unread postby rab4321 » August 28th, 2008, 8:51 pm

I had a rootkit attack on my computer yesterday. It installed a new desktop skin and a fake alert dialog box, and got a message that my computer would be restarted, etc. I ran Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, Norton and Spybot and they removed some of it (tdsserv.sys, serveral other tdss*.* and other files). However, I am still having problems, including not being able to run Windows Update or Internet Explorer (I can run Firefox though). I've attached my HijackThis log below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Due to Lack of Response this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
