multiple issues + hijack this log

I recently had an issue where my pc would hang and fail to boot at the Windows XP load splash screen. Just after POST the load status bar for Windows would begin as normal and then for no reason stop moving. The HDD light on the pc would also go out confirming the system failure. Being that I consider myself something of a moderate to experienced user I booted into safe mode and restored Windows to an earlier version. I then was able to log on normally so I ran Kaspersky's online virus scan and discovered I had something like 38 files infected with 8 or 10 different trojans/spyware/worms. I'm in over my head. Please help.

Download RSIT by random/random to your Desktop (right-click the link, select Save Target As..., select your Desktop and press Save)

• Double click RSIT.exe to start the program, and click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
• When the scan is complete, two text files will open - log.txt <- this one will be maximized and info.txt <-this one will be minimized
• Make sure Format->Word Wrap is unchecked
• Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your reply

Once complete, please post both RSIT logs, you won't need to produce a new HijackThis log as RSIT produces one for you.
Also, please tell me how your machine is running at present.
