Windows firewall only works one way, so if you have a firewall that has come with your Norton package then use that. Software firewalls can take a bit of configuring and getting used to but it is really worth the effort.

Yes, reset your restore points once you are happy that you have cleaned up your machine and that there are no problems.

Yes it is a good idea to run the scans on every user account
