Problem: I think related to braviax.exe and ntos.exe. removed braviax.exe using some other instructions.
About to start removing ntos.exe using the solution here.. but wanted to verify if there is any other issue..

I never had anything infected for so long and actually I didnt had any virus software..
except for some spybot.. recently i installed symantic.. I think the problem started with
some verizon software and/or upnp or the antivirus itselves
I removed/desabled them now. symantic still runs

Actions I did:
removed bravia.exe from windows directory and registry
removed verizon and bunch of other software.. disabled upnp discovery service.
installed symantic and winpatrol
stopprd using the current user.. created another admin user.. deleted a bunch of files in the old
documnet & settings/old user directories from the the new user manually.
several problems still exist.. the login screen does not come some time.. after click on the user from the login
window it does not start the windows explorer.. some times it hangs after startup..

Your computer is severely infected by a backdoor. A backdoor gives intruders complete control of your computer, logs your keystrokes, steal personal information, etc.

I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.

Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Now you got me very worried..

I have not connected that computer to the net now.
I have one folder which has everything under it.. roughly 180GB.
I backed it up to a potable harddisk..

I will try to find some cds that came with the computer to try and reformat..
Hopefully I Still have them..

3) I have 2 other laptops connected to the same network.. i am worried if they are corrupt tooo..
no signs of that for now.. should i post another hijackthis for them.

4) How did it came in the first place.. onlything I really hate I installed recently is some registration software
from verizon.. I am using verizons fios wireless router.. should i trust it... any suggestions..

Download the tool below, on one of your other pcs.

Attach the portable hard disk on the pc, and scan it with the below scanner.
It will clean everything it will find.

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

• Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
• At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

You can do that later, but it doesn't necessarily means that the other 2 pcs are infected if they don't have certain problems.

Not sure how it came.
It's not a matter of the router you use, but what you download on the pc and where.
If it suits to you it should be fine.

REFORMAT & REINSTALL

Since you decided to do a clean install read some information below.

Please make sure that you know what to do before beginning the operation.

Then there are a couple of things you should do immediately after installing Windows and before surfing the net...

• Use an Anti Virus Software - It is very important that your computer has an anti-virus software running on your machine.  This alone can save you a lot of trouble with malware in the future.
• Update your Anti Virus Software - It is imperitive that you update your Anti virus software at least once a week (Even more if you wish).  If you do not update your anti virus software then it will not be able to catch any of the new variants that may come out.
• Use a Firewall - I can not stress how important it is that you use a Firewall on your computer.  Without a firewall your computer is susceptible to being hacked and taken over. Simply using a Firewall in its default configuration can lower your risk greatly. For an article on Firewalls and a listing of some available ones see the link below:

• Visit Microsoft's Windows Update Site Frequently - It is important that you visit http://www.windowsupdate.com regularly.  This will ensure your computer has always the latest security updates available installed on your computer.  If there are new updates to install, install them immediately, reboot your computer, and revisit the site until there are no more critical updates.
• Make your Internet Explorer more secure -  This can be done by following these simple instructions:
  
  • From within Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and then click on Options.
  • Click once on the Security tab
  • Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
  • Click once on the Custom Level button.
    
    • Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt
    • Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable
    • Change the Initialise and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable
    • Change the Installation of desktop items to Prompt
    • Change the Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Prompt
    • Change the Navigate sub-frames across different domains to  Prompt
    • When all these settings have been made, click on the OK button.
    • If it prompts you as to whether or not you want to save the settings, press the Yes button.
  • Next press the Apply button and then the OK to exit the Internet Properties page.
• Install Spybot - Search and Destroy - Install and download Spybot - Search and Destroy with its TeaTimer option.
  This will provide real-time spyware & hijacker protection on your computer alongside your virus protection.  You should also scan your computer with program on a regular basis just as you would an anti virus software. A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:

• Update all these programs regularly - Make sure you update all the programs I have listed regularly.  Without regular updates you WILL NOT be protected when new malicious programs are released.
